Andra Day and Andi Matichak

Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is a American R&B/Soul musician and singer. Apart from a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she is also nominated as an Academy Award. Andra isn't only an old school R&B artist, but also a gospel singer. Her jazz roots and blues is presented in a manner that is both effortless and sophisticated. Her debut album, Cheers to the fall (2015) she climbed in to the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts as well as securing a few Grammy acknowledgements. In 2017, her work on Marshall's music was recognized with the Academy Award. Amen as well as the singles Make Your Troubles Away and The United States Versus Billie Holiday all have singles that are building anticipation for the release of her second album. Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts and sang at the churches. When she left the school she leaned toward the newer styles of R&B and pop music, but was eventually drawn back to the jazz and soul singers she was exposed to when she was a child. A major break came when a performance of hers was spotted by Kai Millard Morris who subsequently offered some of Day's songs to husband Stevie Wonder. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day, allied with Gurvitz's Buskin label and Jeffrey Evans' Buskin record company, gained a cult popularity on YouTube, and was signed to Warner Bros. in 2012. Day then released her debut track Forever Mine. DJs immediately played the track on radio. The album she released her debut Cheers To The Autumn (2015) was recorded by the singer Adrian Gurvitz. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records. It featured the hit song"Rise Up," which was the anthem for groups for justice across the world. Day received the album two Grammy nominations for her album including Best R&B Album. The album was dropped The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, an album that explores the career and life of the jazz icon Billie Holiday. The United States against Billie Holiday was released in 2021, the year that she also appeared in the film Holiday. Andi Mattichak, a native of the United States is an American actor. She first appeared in the film Halloween as Allyson and was later seen in several television shows including Orange Is the New Black (Orange Is the New Black) Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue (666 Park Avenue) and Blue Bloods and Orange Is the new black. Andi Mattichak was born the 3rd of May, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
