Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is a American author, singer and performer well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her stage work began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she acted on Broadway for a number of productions until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it big in the National Theatre. In 1957, she also made her debut album named It's time to Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in the year 1958 as she played Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre a dramatic film. The film was a massive success, and Louise was awarded the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. During this time she began her studies at Actors Studio in New York and developed her association with Lee Strasberg as his student. The actress joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career successfully in between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber characters as contrasted to her perception of being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 as Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. However, in recent years she was also a prominent director of popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 29th August in 1965. The family relocated to Toronto around the age of three. She spent her childhood in Toronto and through her teenage years. Following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She is a resident of Vancouver ever since.
